SUPPORTING INDONESIA’S ORPHANS IN THE WAKE
OF THE TSUNAMI.
Monica Anne Averhoff was ahead of her time;
some even believe she was an angel walking
among us, reaching out to those less
fortunate. While living the last two years
of her life in Indonesia, she had a vision
of peace expressed through the poetry she
wrote between the ages of ten and twelve.
“Monica’s book,
Tomorrow:
Raising an Angel eloquently
tells a story of life, its peaks and
valleys, love and hate, and offers us the
opportunity to make our world a more loving
place,”says Little Treasure’s publisher.
Tomorrow:
Raising an Angel
is a collection of Monica’s poetry
interwoven with a memoir of her tragically
shortened life. This child’s life and
insights, conveyed through her poetry,
enlighten us to live life to the fullest and
beckon us to take a closer look at the world
around us, to see the beauty as well as the
pain and to understand the conditions that
less fortunate children, the world over,
struggle through one day at a time.
Unbeknownst to anyone, Monica began writing
poetry when she was just ten-years-old. A
tattered spiral notebook of her poems and
other writings was found following her
sudden death at twelve years of age. “This
personal and heartfelt memoir awakens us to
the darkness of hate and, more importantly,
to the light of love,” says Garzarelli.
